Node’s collaboration lesson with Spanish industry PROTEGELES, thanks to its experience in the fields of education and relationships with teachers, has collaborated with the Spanish Partners of the Pan-European Project TEACHTODAY, that is, Telefónica, Orange, MSN and Vodafone, following their request.

PROTEGELES’ collaboration consisted in adapting the educational materials of the project to the Spanish context and producing the contents of the project’s short guide that will be used by teachers and other professionals.  This guide aims at solving the vulnerability and lack of information that children and teenagers face when using new technologies. 

The lessons as created originally made reference to foreign web pages and materials so made it impossible to use in Spain. The node had to remove some parts and create new contents better adapted to the country. 
 
These materials have been tested with a small group of teachers in Pozuelo de Alarcón (Madrid) and Andalucia as a result of an agreement reached with the Regional Government.

Previously, PROTEGELES had collaborated in the translation of the original materials and in their adaptation to the Spanish context. The node had also translated both the glossary of internet-related terms and the project web page.
