Paedophile Activity in P2P Systems - newsletter

The latest newsletter from the SIP project "Measurement and Analysis of P2P Activity Against Paedophile Content" summarises the work conducted in the project so far, and points out key results.

A GENERAL PUBLIC REPORT is available; it summarises contributions until  now: http://antipaedo.lip6.fr/T12/gpr.pdf

The DATASET collected on an eDonkey server (10 weeks in continuous, approx   90 million distinct client identifiers and 275 million file identifiers) is available online (fully anonymised).
    XML data: http://content.lip6.fr/latapy/edonkey/weeks/
Web interface: http://antipaedo.complexnetworks.fr/ (username: public, password: public)

In this dataset, around 1 query over 1000 and 1 filename over 1000 contain explicit PAEDOPHILE KEYWORDS. Moreover, the balance between queries and available content is not the same as for other types of content: the ratio between the number of queries and the number of files is much larger for   paedophile content, and the ages entered in queries are lower than the ones found in filenames. For details see: http://antipaedo.lip6.fr/T12/keywords_cnrs.pdf

MEASUREMENTS from clients are currently in progress.

Several REPORTS AND PAPERS are available, describing the measurement techniques and the obtained data; please visit: http://antipaedo.lip6.fr/results.htm

A first prototype of our CONTENT RATING AND FAKE DETECTION system is available.
It may be included in P2P software or in forensic tools. If interested, please contact Matthieu Latapy.
