Saferinternet CZ at INVEX/DIGITEX A fairy story with a happy ending? Once upon a time, 18 years ago, a Czech ICT trade show called Invex was born in Brno.

It grew and became one of the most popular fairs in the land. At that time everybody was interested in new PCs, new software solutions, Telco gadgets and lots of information.

But as the years went by and the internet became more and more important, fairs became less popular.

Not only Invex suffered - COMDEX no longer existed and Cebit is getting smaller and smaller every year…

This year Invex took place on October 6-9. The only large numbers of visitors who are still quite interested are students and pupils from the Czech schools. That is what makes it worthwhile for the Czech safer internet node to be there.

Representatives of the node met with children, discussed interesting issues and distributed leaflets. Saferinternet.cz knows however that the main communication channel now is the Internet…
