LuSI

The objective of the LuSI project is to promote the safer use of online technologies, namely internet and mobile phones, by raising citizens' awareness in Luxembourgon unwanted and harmful contents or abuses. The project also sets up a dedicated helpline (launched in june 2006).
Through materials, activities and events, LuSI will provide children, teenagers, parents and educators all the needed information and resources in order to achieve online safety. LuSI also helps schools to set up safe IT use environments by accompanying them in implementing all the possible measures to tackle misuse or cyberbullying.
 

The project is run by a consortium composed by:
 
  • Telindus: ICT solutions and service company. The project is handled by the Security Audit and Governance Services team which also has experience in awareness raising in several contexts.


  • Centre de Recherche Public Henri Tudor: R&D and technology transfer institution where more than 250 engineers work on several domain of expertise (ICT, industrial management, health and clinical, and environmental technologies)


  • 12345 Kanner Jugend Telefon: support and counselling helpline for children and youngsters run by Caritas Jeunes et Familles ASBL, in association with Kannerschlass, Croix-Rouge Luxembourgeoise, and Ligue Luxembourgeoise de Prévention et d’Actions Medico-Sociales.
