• Protection of the rights and interests of women, counteraction against selling women in sex industry in our country (region) and abroad

• Support of women's initiative in various areas of life, socially, culturally, as well as in the areas of education and public health
• Protection of interests and assistance to people from various layers of society in what concerns their adaptation to the conditions of the market economy
• Promotion and elevation of women's economic and social status, as well as that of their families

Currently working on anti-sex-trafficking projects: "A World Without Slavery" and "Safe House", which includes: Mass media campaign, work with different target audience: seminars for Police, opinion leaders, trainings for risk groups, research, lobbying Russian legislation, assistance for trafficking survivors, rescuing girls from abroad.

One of its main activities is informing people in the Chelyabinsk region, focusing on the local authorities and young women, about the existence of the problem, about the various ways of solving this problem, about women's rights in Russia and abroad.

Working with trafficking since October of 1999 Women's Commonwealth has created a wide network with different types of institutions: city and region administration, Organized Crime Combat Department of MVD, NGOs, universities, colleges and schools, local Mass Media, doctors, lawyers. It provides different types of psychological, legal, psychotherapeutic and medical assistance to the persons suffered from physical, sexual and moral violence, with the purpose to prevent their social exclusion from society.
